Hey friends! I can’t tell you how much I love a good sweater dress… They are the perfect thing to wear for the holidays because you can eat seconds and thirds without having to unbutton anything…lol. I am wearing this super cozy sweater dress by Madewell that I absolutely adore because of the simple pattern at the top and on the sleeves. It is also a great length and has a flattering fit. This dress is actually on SALE right now when you use code DEALWITHIT at checkout. I paired the dress with my favorite pair of statement earrings that have horses on them to dress things up. These earrings are such a great conversation piece and I always get compliments when I wear them.
I’ve rounded up all of my favorite sweater dresses this season below!
SWEATER DRESS ROUNDUP
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I wish you and your families happiness and health this holiday season.
If you have any questions please reach out to me anytime xx,
Hey friends today I’m sharing three cozy looks with Walmart. I’m so excited to see that I’m able to purchase great quality finds, that look stylish and cute on Walmart.com! I’m also a big fan of mixing more affordable options with higher priced pieces. The first look features this gorgeous Ivory colored wool coat. I love the faux fur trim detail along the collar and I discovered that it’s actually removable which is amazing if you want to wear the coat for a more casual look. I paired the coat with a super soft white cashmere sweater that has the cutest balloon sleeves to give it a little something extra. I also wore these simple grey denim jeans (similar ones here) and basic nude pumps for a slightly more dressed up look. I added a circular gold pendant necklace, sunglasses, watch, and bracelet to pull it all together.
For look 3, I found this adorable Calvin Klein Wool Coat on Walmart’s Premium Cold Weather Shop. I love the faux fur trim along the collar, but I also LOVE that it’s a little shorter in the front and longer in the back. The tie around the waist makes for a more feminine look while still keeping you really warm and cozy. I paired the coat with the coziest cashmere sweater in a camel color and basic grey denim skinny jeans (similar ones here). I added some fun leopard print pumps to make the outfit a little more dressy. I pulled it all together with my go-to Michele watch, bracelet, sunglasses, and of course statement earrings.
Love wearing this jacket open…..
…and also closed and cinched at the waist!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

P.s. A big thank you to Walmart for partnering on this post! Everything I share, as always, are my own thoughts and opinions.
Hey, this is Jeff (the man typically behind the camera) and I’ll be taking over the blog today to try and help you shop for that special man in your life. I really enjoy golf (Thanks Aylin for letting me build a golf simulator in the garage), so a lot of my gift ideas will be related to golf in some way.
From clothing brands like Travis Mathew, my latest Callaway Rogue driver in my golf bag, the range finder I use while golfing to see how far away the flag is, the bluetooth speaker I use while golfing to blast a little Hip Hop or my Florida Georgia Line playlist, and I even link the golf simulator I use to improve my golf game in case you really want to spoil your man 🙂
I also really enjoy technology (AKA I’m a Geek), so I added a bunch of gift ideas in case your man might need some new tech gadgets. I have to say the new Amazon fire TV cube makes it a lot easier to watch TV when your wife is constantly losing the remote control (Don’t blame our sweet kids honey, we know it’s you). Also, if you’re in the market for a Macbook or iPhone, click those links to get one for over half off.
TOYS AND GADGETS
When it comes to fashion, keep in mind that we live in San Diego where it never really gets that cold, so most of my style picks are for a mild climate. Like Aylin, I tend to gravitate towards solid colors and I love cozy and comfortable clothing.
Speaking of comfortable, if you haven’t tried ALLBIRDS shoes, I highly recommend you get a pair for yourself and for anyone on the nice side of your holiday shopping list.
CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES
I sure hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for letting me take over for the day.
Yay the weekend is here…and I can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week! We’re going to stay local but will be staycation-ing at one of our favorite hotels! I’ll be sharing lots more details next week. This look is super loungy & comfy! This cardigan can be worn casual or even dressed up a bit. Just add skinny jeans, a tank or cami, boots and you’ll be cozy in style. The cardigan runs a little small…I would order up one size. I’m wearing the size S here. You can shop this cardigan here and the rest of my look below.
ALSO STAY TUNED….
Lots of GIFT GUIDES and BLACK FRIDAY SALE finds are coming next week!
Make sure to check back.
There will be new posts daily…and some days I’ll be posting more than once on the blog!
WHAT’S ON MY BREAKFAST PLATE
I go in waves of eating the same thing for breakfast. For a while it was oatmeal everyday, then it was cereal. Then smoothies. Well lately I’ve been having an exact combo of what I feed my kids. My daughter loves Avocado toast (which my son will NOT touch)…and my son loves scrambled egg breakfast burritos (which my daughter will NOT touch). So I pop 2 pieces of (gluten free) bread in the toaster. Scramble up 3 eggs. Heat a large tortilla. Divide the eggs in 1/2. 1/2 goes on my plate and the other 1/2 goes in the breakfast burrito. Then I split an avocado with my daughter. So basically my breakfast lately has been 1 avocado toast with a side of scrambled egg. I’ll admit when I’m in a rush I tend to skip breakfast…but being able to eat what I make the kids too is game changer. The protein keeps me energized in the morning. And I’m usually not hungry until lunch time.
With holiday parties, work events and other fun celebrations on the horizon…a lot of us are thinking “what to wear??”. I love fashion this time of year because you can get away dressing up a bit more…but of course get to still be comfy and cozy. I also tend to experiment more with my makeup around the holidays too…and did so here with some new fun palettes! Today I am so excited to be teaming up with Nordstrom to share a holiday glam makeup look! I’ll also be sharing a few holiday dresses I’ve been swooning over and some of my favorite Beauty Gift sets under $50! Perfect for gift giving and to get ahead of the holiday rush. Lot’s of fun stuff in today’s post so thank you so much for being here! xx
NAKED 2 Palette by Urban Decay
I am so excited about this NAKED 2 eyeshadow palette from Nordstrom! The mixture of matte and shimmer eyeshadows are perfect for the holidays especially if you want to dress things up a bit more than usual. First, I used the colors FOXY and BOOTY CALL as a base coat on my eyelids. Next, I used SNAKEBITE and PISTOL in my crease for a little bit more of a smoky look. Then, I used BUSTED and BLACKOUT as more of an eyeliner to line the shadow on my lid for a more evening look. Finally, I finished up my eyes with using HALF BAKED and CHOPPER to blend the colors in the center of my lids.
Photo Finish Foundation Primer by Smashbox
This photo finish primer by Smashbox that I just ordered from Nordstrom is perfect for the holidays! It is a very light weight clear gel that makes your skin smoother before applying your foundation. The best part is that it blurs out blemishes and was developed to help makeup look better and last longer!
Wet/Dry Even Skin Brush by Trish McEvoy
vs.
Foundation Buff Brush by Clinique
I just ordered this Foundation Buff Brush by Clinique to see how it compared to my all time favorite Wet/Dry Even Skin Brush by Trish McEvoy and I have to say…. although they are both great brushes I am going to stick to using my favorite. Even though the Trish McEvoy is a little on the pricier side it is definitely worth the investment. The brush is handmade with the softest, highest-quality synthetic hair. Whether you are applying your foundation, concealer, or just basic moisturizer the brush evenly distributes the make-up perfectly. A smaller point at the end of the brush conforms to curves and small areas on your face for a flawless look.
Shimmer Blush by BOBBI BROWN
This shimmering powder blush is the perfect final touch for a special occasion make up look, the slight sparkles give my cheeks a glowing pop of color that is just right.
DRESS: wearing the size 2. Color: pink multi. This dress is stunning. It runs true to size, however I found the straps to be a little bit long. I ended up not getting them altered but could probably take the straps up about an inch. The sequins are actually colors of silver, pink, and camel. It’s a show stopper dress and is perfect for a fancy holiday party and especially would be perfect for NYE!!
ACCESSORIES: Accessorizing a dress like this can be tricky. I went back and forth a couple of times but ended up with “less is more”. I took off my necklaces and swapped them for these gorgeous statement earrings. I was worried they would be too much…but considering the occasion they worked fine. Then a watch, a simple cocktail ring, and very sleek simple high heel shoes to finish off the look.
HOLIDAY BEAUTY GIFT SETS UNDER $50
I love gifting beauty gift sets! For one I get to share some of my favorite brands and products with my friends. Another is the value. It’s always nice to save some extra money especially around the holidays. And third I LOVE the size! Most are airport security line approved…and work great for travel! It’s also a great way to try out some new products and brands for yourself without being so committed to a large amount.
See below for some of my favorite beauty products.
HOLIDAY DRESS CRUSHES
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed today’s post & I hope it helps you get inspired and ready for the Holidays!
xx,
P.s. A big thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post! Everything I share, as always, are my own thoughts and opinions.
One of the coziest brands out there has to be Barefoot Dreams! Every year I always have one of their pieces on my wish list…whether it’s a pillow, throw, pj or robe! Each piece is so incredibly soft. Today I’m rounding up some favorites (some I found on sale)…and also sharing 3 MUST have candles that I’ve been using lately & LOVEing. These would make the PERFECT gift or addition to your own wardrobe or home! I made a collage for you (see above). You can click on the pictures and it will take you directly to the items.
CANDLE CRUSHES
JO MALONE. Nectarine Blossom & Honey. This is actually the same fragrance I use as a perfume. I’m honestly not much of a perfume wearer. Mainly due to being so picky with scents. But this one is AH-mazing. I’m a little too obsessed and I splurged on the matching hand soap, body moisturizer and this candle below. I keep it in our downstairs bathroom so our guests can enjoy it too when they come over.
2. THYMES FRAISER FIR. This one is so perfect for the holidays. The past few years we’ve been putting up a fake christmas tree and I’ve really been missing that yummy pine scent of the holidays. Well my new trick is to light up one of these and you would think there’s a real tree in the house!
3. DIPTYQUE. This one smell really nice but I’m going to be honest. I think I love the jar (once it’s all used up) more. I have a collection of them and love how they will last forever once the candle is burned up! I use one for my make up brushes, one for q-tips. I also use one as a tea light holder. That way I can easily refill it and use it over and over again! btw…that one I keep on my fireplace mantle. P.S. this one is currently having a gift with purchase!
Hi girls! Hope you’re all having a great weekend! I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is almost here. The good news is that Thanksgiving is one week earlier this year…so that means we have an extra week to prep for Christmas, New Years, etc!
One question I get asked a lot is “what to wear for the holidays”. And Thanksgiving in particular. Whether you want to dress up or down…I have some TIPS that I hope will help. This beautiful dress comes in a few different colors, I love the sleeve detail and the pretty velvet fabric. The material is really soft to the skin. Dress runs true to size. I ordered an xs and a small…and I’m going to keep the size XS. I also rounded up some outfit ideas for you….
MY LOOK
COMFORT IS KEY: Whether you’re dressing up or down…always think about comfort. If what you’re wearing is too hot, itchy, tight, etc…you will not be able to completely enjoy the day. My recommendation is to wear a shift style dress in a comfortable material. Sweater dresses work great too! I’m not a fan of wearing super tight clothing, especially pants on Thanksgiving. I like to be able to move around, help out, sit, mingle, talk and eat without needing to unbutton my pants…lol.
(I’m linking some comfy approved pieces for you below….)

I don’t know about you…but I’ve been loving the time change! I’m not a huge morning person unless I get into a good routine. The super dark mornings have been brutal and keeping me cozy in bed…hitting snooze on repeat. Well this extra hour has really given me a boost of energy and feeling more productive and accomplished.
This sweater dress is super chic and comfy. It runs a little big. I’m wearing the size 2US. I paired it here with these over the knee boots, quilted handbag, oversized felt hat and sunnies. You can shop this dress here and the rest of my look below…

Hope you all had a great weekend! We had a busy one with soccer, baseball, dinners with family & friends and we finally got around to taking down all of our halloween decor! Today I’m so excited to share how I style this gorgeous, cozy Everlane sweater 3 different ways. This sweater is launching today! I love that it’s a luxury sweater…but it is also under $100! It comes in a bunch of really pretty color options. (you can see them all here). For the 3 looks you will see a cozy-casual lounging at home look, a casual out of the house look, and a more dressy-date night look.
LOOK #1
For lounging at home I styled the sweater with joggers lounge slippers and a nice warm cup of tea. This sweater runs a little on the small side. (I sized up one. Wearing the size Small here). It is super soft and is non-itchy. That is one thing I always look for in sweaters. If it’s itchy you won’t see me in it. On a random side note I wanted to share I like to stay positive. One thing that helps me a lot is writing in a daily gratitude journal. I have the 5 minute journal and I use it first thing in the morning and it’s the last thing I do before bed.
LOOK #2
Here I styled this Everlane Aplaca sweater with skinny jeans, ankle booties and oversized sunnies! If you want to add a little something extra…think of a fun oversized hat or statement earrings. I LOVE the ribbed detailing and sleeves on this sweater! It’s perfect for Fall because it’s on the light weight side…and is easy to layer for when it gets chillier.
LOOK #3
This sweater can easily go from Day to Night by changing up a few accessories. I wore this out to dinner last week for date night and styled it with statement earrings, dressy heels and a crossbody bag.
My number one rule in styling is you should never compromise comfort…even for dressier occasions.
Hope you have a great day!
Hugs and kisses

If there’s one thing I love the most when styling & pulling together looks, it’s selecting my accessories. From bracelets, earrings, rings, bags…etc. But out of all of these the one I never leave the house without is a watch! And I have to be honest, I’ve been known to wear a watch that doesn’t even have working batteries…that’s how much I love them. Watches come in all different sizes, metals, shapes, and prices.
Today, I am styling two different cozy looks, a boyfriend watch roundup… and sharing my 3 TIPS on how to save time! All of these pieces I’m featuring are from Walmart.com. I’ve been loving their cozy styles and fun accessories. Also they have Free Shipping on orders over $35 with no membership required!
This is another boyfriend watch option! I love the 2 toned metal so you can wear it with silvers and golds. It’s light weight, stylish and super easy to throw on over almost any outfit.
1. Make a daily to do list. I like to write down a list of all the tasks that need to get done that day. After… I enter it into my calendar planner. I use a schedule planner that allows you to schedule out 15 minutes at a time. I like to block out a certain amount of time for each task in order to make the best use of my time. I found a similar one here.
2. Time cube! This has been a game changer. This cube is amazing and will give you more time in the day to do other things. All you do is flip the cube to the time you think a task will take. Then the cube will countdown until the time is up and the alarm will go off. This really helps me stay on task and not get distracted. You can shop it here.
3. Plan ahead! This is an area I’ve been really wanting to improve on. I find that the days I plan ahead…I’m much more productive and I’m able to get more stuff done. For example, in the mornings it’s usually a mad rush. From getting breakfast ready, lunches made and the kids arguing about what they want to wear that day makes it tough to stay on time. I have found that having their outfits already picked out and lunches packed the night before helps so much. That way there are no surprises in the morning and we don’t feel as rushed for time.
Whether I’m dressing up or down…a boyfriend watch is an easy, comfy, & stylish accessory!
This cozy pullover is super soft! FYI it runs a little small.

Hi girls! Today I’m sharing 2 different looks with you. A simple “CASUAL” look and also a more “DRESSY” look.
For me dressing casual doesn’t mean I have to give up my style. Even with a plain Tee or Thermal & jeans…you can dress up your look with the accessories. Here I styled this simple white thermal with jeans, comfy booties, cozy colorful scarf and this fun tote! All of these accessories are from SoleSociety.com. You can shop them all here and I’ll link them below…
These fun sandals are so cute, especially for the Holiday’s coming up. We’ve still been having warm weather here in San Diego so I styled the sandals with a flowy, long sleeve dress, crossbody bag and oversized sunnies.
For those of you who are already subscribed to my newsletter, this blog post might look familiar. And for those of you who are not yet subscribed to my newsletter I’m starting a new series every month sharing my top pick new arrivals before I share them on my blog and social channels.
I know items usually sell out so fast when posted on instagram or my blog thats why I like to do something extra and special for you girls via my newsletter. These would be my latest finds that are currently in my shopping cart, are already ordered and being delivered, or will be posted on my blog soon!
Versatile layers! This faux fur vest can be thrown over Tee’s, tanks, long sleeves, dresses, etc. Perfect for Fall! I’ll admit it’s been pretty warm here in San Diego…so I had to keep it sleeveless for you girls. And add flip flops…lol.
So excited to share my TOP PICKS from one of my favorite stores…Anthropologie! And even better everything is on SALE today with FREE shipping. I included home, clothing, accessories, handbags, etc, etc. I know it’s a little early…but I’m also adding in some great holiday gift pieces. I love giving gifts and I’m always on the hunt for that perfect host & hostess gift! I found some great ones….and for those of you that like to stock up early I included them for you below. Click on any of the images and it will take you directly to that page. Happy Shopping and hope you have a great weekend! xx, Aylin
Do you ever get stuck on what to wear in between seasons? I usually have a hard time finding what to wear especially when the morning start out so chilly and then warms up by the afternoon. Today I am sharing my tips on how to dress for transitional weather and sharing some new arrivals boots, shoes, bags and accessories from Sole Society!
My biggest tip on dressing for transitional weather is to layer, layer, layer! I’m not a fan of being cold or being too hot… so by wearing layers you’re able to be cozy and bundled. Then later you can strip off the layers to keep cool.
Here I styled these faux leather leggings with these gorgeous booties, oversized T-shirt, quilted handbag and this super flattering poncho wrap. I love the shape of this poncho! You’re able to wear it tied (like I styled here) and also untied to have a more loose-drapey effect. Once the day gets warm take the poncho off and your oversized T-shirt will keep you on trend and cool…wink wink.
This quilted bag can be worn as a satchel or as a cross body bag. You can also take the long straps off. It’s not an oversized bag so it’s perfect for date night and has enough room for your lipgloss, cell phone, wallet, hand sanitizer, etc.
I finished off this look by adding a stack of bracelets, a watch, oversized sunnies and my favorite layering necklaces.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today if you have any additional questions about any of the sizing or anything please feel free to email me at aylin@stylinbyaylin.com. Hope you have a great day.

Today I’m so excited to share my updated fall make up routine and how to achieve a healthy glow! I’ll be sharing some products that I’ve been using the past couple months along with other products I’ve been using for years and years. I don’t know about you but I always tend to feel healthier when I have a little bit of glow and color on my skin. I don’t believe that self Tanners and bronzers are only supposed to be used in the summer and warmer months. With that said I will also be sharing my skin prep routine and how to create a healthy glowing canvas that is ready for make up. All of these products are available at Nordstrom.com…which is 100% my personal favorite place to buy my beauty products. I love all the options they carry and reading all the reviews! Plus the free shipping is always a bonus!
fyi: I’m sharing a video tutorial on my instagram stories…if you have time to pop over there and watch it I’m sharing a lot of these products in action.
SKIN PREP
Start with a good exfoliating scrub. Gently scrub and exfoliate your skin and make sure to pat dry. After use a toner to make sure everything is all taken off and clean to the touch.
Self tan the face: Again this is something I like to do year round. For best application use a kabuki brush and a foaming self tanner. I’m not a big fan of the self tanning lotions or gels. The foaming one works best I found for face. I learned about applying self tanner with a kabuki brush from Meggan and Brooke from Somewhere lately…thanks girls! For best results do this step at night before bed so when you wake up in the morning the color has developed and you are ready to apply your make up.
OK this trio right here is a GAME CHANGER. I like to call it the FAB TRIO!! We recently went on a trip and I forgot my foundation and my foundation brush (eeeeek) and nothing that I could find was close to replacing it. I make my own tinted moisturizer by adding a drop of the lotion and the foundation in the palm of my hand. Then I dip the large end of the brush and apply with circular sweeping motions…you’ll be amazed at the coverage that this brush gives you. It’s not cakey or too heavy. It’s up to you how much coverage you want by adding more lotion or more foundation. This trio right here will definitely give you glowing skin!!
I’ve recently been having so much fun trying out different eyeshadow palette‘s and eyeshadow colors. There are two new pallets that I’ve recently purchased that I will use until the very last drop. The one that I’m wearing here is the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette which comes with four gorgeous shades. I also love the one by Mac (here). This has a few more options and they’re also in the earth tone family. Just in case you missed it I’m sharing a tutorial on my insta-stories on how I apply this.
This next product I’m about to share with you has been a favorite for over 10 years. It’s by Nars and it’s their Laguna bronzer. I absolutely love this shade…it gives you that I just got back from Hawaii glow. I like to sweep this on my cheekbones, a little sweep on the nose bridge, the forehead, chin and then I always sweep some on my décolleté.
I love a good neutral lip gloss. This is a new product that I’ve been testing out the last few weeks. It’s by Dior and it’s their lip maximizer and it has collagen active in it. I Purchased it in these two shades (apricot and beige sunrise) and they are both more in the neutral category. But if I had to pick one it would be 006 Beige Sunrise.
It has a hint of a mint and it does have a little tingle to it which helps with the plumping.
For those rough mornings when I have dark circles under my eyes and I just want a more refreshed & awake look… I always go to my YSL!!. This product is amazing. The consistency is so good, it’s creamy, it’s lightweight, & it never looks cakey. One of my pet peeve‘s with any type of concealer is when they actually end up aging you vs. making you look younger. I also love this product by Bobbi Brown, it’s called their corrector and I use it for those really dark, blue-ish veins on the inside corners of my eyes. It’s a game changer! (I use the color “Light Peach”). Both of these products favorite that I’ve used for years and years.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. I hope this information was helpful for you. I love sharing all of my beauty finds! If you have any questions about any of the products that I shared today please feel free to email me at aylin@stylinbyaylin.com. Would love to hear from you! Thanks girls, love you, bye!
