One of my favorite things to do is decorate my home. Every season I like to switch out a few accessories, pillows, throws…etc. It also gets me in the mood to get organized! Today I’m so excited to be teaming up with The Home Depot to share how I incorporated some new decor (that I am LOVE-ing), BEFORE and AFTER photos of our pantry makeover and inviting you all over for ice cream sundaes!!

(Keep scrolling down to see the BEFORE!)

We love this container set from The Home Depot!
Ice cream sundaes have never been easier…
…now that all of our toppings are handy and organized!

There are so many cute home decor items available at The Homedepot.com! …and I LOVE sharing new finds with you! To be honest I’ve been a loyal customer of The Home Depot for years and years…but would mainly purchase paints, hardware, etc. I’m now so happy to see all of the beautiful Home Decor and furniture items that homedepot.com carries! Everything you see in this photo (above) is from there. The whimsical plates are so fun for entertaining. They have a really pretty texture to them too. (also they are dishwasher and microwave safe). These wooden candle holders are just the right size to flank on the table. I’m also planning on ordering another set to place on my fireplace mantle.
I’m also so happy with these linen striped pillows!
They are the perfect shades of grey and the color is very true to this picture.

These containers also make it fun for the kids to help clean up.
The lid is fun to pop up and push down…you’ll have to try it!

Here are some home decor favorites…from furniture, wall decor, lighting fixtures, pillows, area rugs and more!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. A breath of fresh air. I love how the AFTER turned out. Now we just have to keep it that way (easier said than done, am I right??). We don’t have those fancy pull out shelves ( I really want them one day)…so instead I added some of their white storage bins. I used them to store and display snacks, juice boxes, Nutella sticks, etc! Just throw away or store the lids.

Think outside the box…and use a drawer-pencil organizer to store your protein bars! (See below). This one comes in a 6-Pack!

Here are some of the containers I used to help us get organized!
One of my favorite decor items currently in my home is this gorgeous vase! I actually bought 2 different styles (here and here). The quality and style exceeded my expectations once I pulled it out of the box. I love how it ties into my kitchen backsplash. These will be cherished and used for many years to come!
See below how I styled one of them on my kitchen island and on my coffee table….

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today to see some of my interior styling at work! For those that don’t know my background and degree is in Interior Design…so whenever I get to share that side with you on my blog it makes me so happy! Hope you enjoyed this post!
xx,

P.s. A big thank you to The Home Depot for partnering on this post! Everything I share, as always, are my own thoughts and opinions.
Yesterday we took an evening trip downtown to see WonderSpaces. If you’re in the San Diego area and love ART I would go check it out. They are only in town for a few more weeks though…just FYI. After we walked around downtown…which brought back so many great memories!! My husband and I lived downtown for 6 years right after we got married. It was so nice to walk to bars, restaurants, Nordstrom (that was dangerous…lol). Now we are happy and settled in Suburbia…but deep down I’m a city girl. I love all the energy. After the museum we went to Seasons52 for dinner in Sea Port Village. It was a late night by the time we got home but so worth the little trip with the fam. See below for more pics of our outting! BTW…you can buy these pants here and this top here…linking the rest of my look for you below.

This picture of my hubby cracks me up. #virtualreality

Thanks for stopping by today!!

P.S. You can shop my look here:

Download my “Stylin by Aylin” App to see all of my NSale picks! I organized them all by category. (see here)
STYLE TIP: Coordinate outfits by mixing stripes with color matching solids.
I pulled out the white and the seafoam/teal-ish green/blue from my daughters striped dress. Next time you are trying to match or pulling your families outfits for family photo’s…think about mixing a print with mainly solids. Don’t forget less is more. I prefer to go the more simple route when mixing and matching. My wrap tank is true to size…and it has an elastic gathering on the bottom. Can’t see here because of the tuck. (also linked similar $22 tank here) You can shop this top here, my daughters dress here and the rest of our looks below…

Today I’m sharing a few NEW pieces that I have not shared before and some of my favorites from early access! All of these have been restocked at some point…but they sell out so fast! I’ll be keeping a watch for you and will be keeping you updated here and on my instagram!

I LOVE this leather jacket! The color is a really pretty blush color and it’s super soft. I love the fit too, perfect to wear with jeans and a TEE. Sizing is true to size.

This Pink Cardigan is super soft and cozy. I’m wearing the size S here.
I was actually shocked to see if was available in ALL sizes! Shop it here while it lasts!

This one is also a NEW piece for me to share with you!
I’ll be sharing better details on my stories…so make sure to check there tomorrow.

Loungewear is what I live in the most.
By mixing in the right accessories you can even take some loungewear looks out and about.
See some of my favorites below…

I’m a huge fan of Bobbi brown products.
And when I saw that my all time favorite moistuizer and eye cream were part of the sale I had to jump on that!
This is the kind of SPF cream that leaves your skin dewy!
I mix it with my foundation and love it. You can buy the kit here!
My favorite beauty brush in the world is by Trish McEvoy! (see here). And when I saw she had a beauty brush set that was part of the sale I was soooo happy! The case is super fancy and will be perfect for travel!

Hi friends! I have 2 really exciting announcements to make! The first one is the Nordstrom Anniversary sale finally opens to the public tomorrow!! I have been updating my “Stylin by Aylin” APP with new NSale pieces every day since the sale started! If you don’t already have my APP you can download it for Free here! This is where I organized all of my sale selections by categories.
Exciting Announcement #2 is that my kids and I will be taking over the @liketoknow.it.family handle this Friday! I don’t share them very often on my blog and to be honest sometimes I feel torn about that. My kids are such a huge part of me that to not share the mom side sometimes makes me feel off-balanced. So I’m happily stepping out of comfort zones and I’m so excited to share my journey with all of you. Our takeover is tomorrow (Friday 7/20) and I would be so grateful for your support in following along on the @liketoknow.it and @liketoknow.it.family accounts.
Also don’t forget to download my “Stylin by Aylin” APP to help you shop the Nordstrom Sale! (here)

Well I’m pooped…but oh so HAPPY because I found so many amazing pieces for you at this years Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I got to Nordstrom at 9:30am and didn’t leave until after 5, making sure I studied every department. I must give a shout out to Chelsie who helped me this year! She was so awesome! For the sale pieces I mainly focused on basics, comfy-soft fabrics, pieces you can wear NOW & later. Fall shoes, handbags, lounging pieces, home, etc.
Download my “Stylin by Aylin” App to see all of my NSale picks! I organized them all by category. (see here)

Love this top! I bought it in a few different colors. I mixed some with my true size XS and also sized up one S to have an oversized fit. Love the price!
These Tory Burch Sandals are part of the sale too! I also bought them in the white colorway. The best fit for me was to go down 1/2 a size to a 7 instead of a 7.5.
These jeans are more of a straight Leg Style. I thought they were skinny jeans at first but when I tried them on they we’re not. They run true to size.
……………………………………………………….

This grey dress is a winner! I love the front tie detail. This is perfect to throw on, grab your bag, sandals…and you’re out the door. This is also a great transitional piece for Fall. Add booties and a cardigan! This dress runs true to size. I’m wearing the size xs here.
Btw…you can shop these white sandals here. (fyi: they are not part of the Sale). I ordered 1/2 a size down.
……………………………………………………….

These are my favorite shoes of the SALE.
I don’t own a lot of black shoes…so this was actually on my list to add into my wardrobe!
Also these jeans are my favorite of the sale and they are under $50!!
……………………………………………………….

These shoes are also amazing! I love the modern cowgirl vibe they give off. FYI: i almost bought my true size but ended up sizing up 1/2 a size to get a little more room. I almost always size up when buying pointy toe’d shoes.
Also how cute is this windowpane shirt! It runs true to size, but I sized up one to get it even more oversized.
……………………………………………………….

This blouse is super pretty, feminine, & flowy.
It runs true to size and is the prettiest shade of pink-ish blush.
……………………………………………………….

This look above might be my ultimate favorite!!
And this wrap/cardigan is so soft you guys! It’s pretty light weight which I love too.
Fyi…it’s one size fits all.
This Tee underneath is perfect for layering…the price is insane. I sized up to a Small.
……………………………………………………….

This dress has pockets, is super comfy and is by one of my favorite brands…Rails.
You can shop it here and below..

Thanks again to Chelsie!!
Thank you for stopping by today! Make sure to check back because I will be updating new looks every day! Download my App to see what pieces I find first! (download here)

If you love a good statement top that’s comfy and cute at the same time…you will love this one! The color is beautiful. The fit is great…leave it tucked out or tuck it in. It has a slightly boxy fit…and I love the sleeve detail. I probably could have gotten my true size…but I sized up one to get a slightly longer fit. Wearing the size Small here. The price is also good! I styled it here with white flowy pants, oversized sunnies, flats and a white cross body bag. I will definitely be taking this top into the Fall season…since it’s super transitional. You can shop this top here and the rest of my look below…

Thanks for reading my blog! Hope you’re have a great 4th!

Aylin

Yay…my favorite Sale of the YEAR is almost here! I can’t even begin to tell you how blessed and lucky I feel to be able to share my talents and styling with you. Pulling outfits and home interiors have been my calling ever since I was a little girl. And with all the hours, research and LOVE I invest in this blog none of it would be possible without you and your support. When I’m styling a new look, or shopping in store or looking online I always have you in mind. I’m so grateful for your trust in me. In return, you can always count on me to be your go-to personal stylist. It’s what I do…and what I love! This year I’m more excited than ever to help you shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale! This is my 4th year sharing this sale on my blog and I have learned the in’s and outs, the do’s and don’ts, what to invest in, what to purchase before it sells out…and what to leave at the register.

What do I love most about this sale???!! Getting super discounted pieces on NEW ARRIVALS! This is the perfect time to take inventory of what pieces your wardrobe needs so you can stock up with the best savings. I’ll be sharing some important dates below…but before I do here are 4 steps you can do today that will give you a head start!
4 STEPS TO GET A HEAD START
*ONE … If you don’t have a Nordstrom card already I highly recommend getting one for the Sale. (Get one here). They also have a debit card option that automatically deducts from your checking account. Card holders will get to shop the sale ONE WEEK EARLY before it’s open to the public. Considering a lot of stuff sells out quick this is a great way to “beat the crowds” 😉
*TWO … Download the LiketoKnow.it App. This is where I will be sharing ALL of my Nordstrom Sale styled outfits! Some of these looks will also be posted on my instagram…but most will be exclusively posted in the Liketoknow.it app. You can download it for free here. Search “Stylin by Aylin” and follow me there! xx
*THREE … Download or get ready to Update my “Stylin by Aylin” App. A lot of you might already have my App on your phones. If you do, I’m giving you the biggest hug. This is something we built from scratch and just knowing that the Stylin by Aylin app is being carried around on your phone makes me so happy :). This will be your one stop shop to get all of my FAVORITE picks all ORGANIZED by Category. I will be announcing when the new update will be ready…so stay tuned!
*FOUR … Tour your own closet. This step will actually help you save money because you will have a clearer idea of what you need and what you don’t need! Check you denim stacks, sweaters, coats and tee’s. Also write out any special occasions or trips you have planned in the next 6 months. I like to make a special section for this on my phone’s “notes”. Write or type out what pieces you might need. And also don’t forget gifts. I know the holidays feel so far away…but they always creep up on us. This is a great time to grab quality gifts for less!
IMPORTANT DATES
JULY 12-19 … Early Access in store and online. This is for only Nordstrom Cardholders
JULY 20-AUGUST 5 … Opens to the public
AUGUST 6 … Sale prices go back up to regular price

It’s hard to believe it’s almost going to be July! Wether you have a backyard BBQ, a 4th of July party or plan on just lounging at home…I have your stripes and stars covered. Rounded up my favs for you below….. On a side note I’m really looking forward to the 4th this year. We usually go out to the desert for the weekend before then drive back home to catch some of the fireworks shows in San Diego. This year we booked a last min trip to Michigan to see family…and I’m so excited to be back there. Family time is best…and I’m always amazed at how green and beautiful it is there. I will definitely be packing this dress with me! Along with some other basic pieces (this dress and this top…are some of the items in my suitcase) . This dress runs a tad big. I’m wearing the size XS here. I could size down to xxs but prefer the slightly oversized look so will be keeping the xs.
You can shop this dress here and below….also listing my other stripe favorites…

Hi girls! Come get ready with me today as I share this amazing new hair tool! I have been wanting to try this blow dryer for years…and I’m so excited I finally tested it out! I will be sharing a full transparency review. And hint…It exceeded my expectations! Now I’m already a fan of the Dyson brand…we own 2 vacuums that work better than any other we have tried. So naturally I was so excited to see a hair dryer that would hopefully live up to that caliber. When I finally decided to give this blow dryer a try…it was in my hands within an hour. I purchased it online at Nordstrom.com (along with a few other things)…and had it ready curb side pick up within an hour. I didn’t even need to get out of my car!
This dryer comes with 3 detachable nozzles

1. SMOOTHING NOZZLE
This allows you to dry and style your hair at the same time.

2. STYLING CONCENTRATOR NOZZLE
Distributes focused air out of a thinner nozzle.
This allows you to style one section at a time without blowing all of your other hair around like crazy.

3. DIFFUSER NOZZLE
This reduces frizz and helps disperse air evenly around each of your ringlets.
TIP: stick to the lowest speed setting when using the diffuser.
Also try to move your natural curls as little as possible.

USER ERROR ALERT
I’ll be honest I almost always avoid reading any manual. I’m a figure it out myself…wing it, kinda girl. Once I had this dryer all plugged in and ready to go I started blowing it all crazy through my hair. I didn’t have an attachment on and I had all my hair down. It went wild and got tangled. I learned that the best way to use this dryer is by sectioning off sections at a time (duh me)…and using the nozzle attachments so the air is more controlled. So just fyi to follow these steps when using your new hair tool.

FUNCTIONS :
The button on the top left is the airflow control. Low, Medium and High. I usually use the medium and high setting. The button on the right is the temperature control. There are also 3 settings for this. I personally really love the high setting. The 2 buttons on the handle are the Power on/off switch and the Cold shot button.
RUBBER PAD :
It also comes with this nifty little rubber pad that you can set your dryer on after and inbetween sections of your blow-out.

BONUS USAGE :
I self tan weekly and have been applying it myself at home. Since you have to practically get naked to apply I’m always in a rush to get dressed afterwards. This Dyson hair dryer has been the perfect solution to speed the drying process. I put the Airflow and Temperature control settings on low. I also use no nozzle to get more of a distributed air flow.

SELF TANNER :
This is the self tanner I’ve talked about before and I’ll mention it again because I love it so much. It’s fast drying (but even faster when using the dyson dryer…lol). It leaves you instantly bronzed! It’s pretty tan…and I like it. FYI: once you get in the shower a lot of the dark color washes off…but it does leave you with a nice glowing tan. I do wish it was a little bit darker after the shower…but have noticed better results after applying it twice in a row. Basically Day 1 tan, Day 2 tan. Lasts up to a week or longer. TIP: My tan always last longer when I’m religious about moisturizing. Always put on lotion after the shower and try to remember to apply lotion right before bed. Also…this one’s no fun, but limiting your pool time will also make your tan last a lot longer.
NEW HAIR PRODUCTS :
Also wanted to share a couple new hair styling products I’ve been using. In the summer I always use a leave in conditioner since my hair tends to feel more dry and damaged from the sun, pool, etc. I’ve been using “Damage Remedy” by Aveda and love it. It instantly repairs hair and also protects from heat styling.

I would say I have lots of hair but it’s pretty fine…and I found a styling foam that doesn’t way my hair down! It’s called “phomollient”. Make sure you don’t shake the bottle…just pump out 3-5+ pumps depending on how much hair you have. I also like to add a hair serum afterwards. Then I air dry for a few minutes (so it’s not soaking wet)…then I blow dry.

Thank you so much for getting ready with me in today’s blog post!
If you have any additional questions please send them my way…
xx,

Camo! It’s out of my solid print norm…but it’s still in the neutral family so I likey. lol. Excuse my delirous writing…but I stayed up way too late last night. We had a late start with getting dinner on the table, getting kids ready for bed…and Jeff and I binged watched TV. Is anyone else watching Younger? It started back up…and we love this show! It’s on the TVland network in case you want to start watching.
This dress is super soft. One of the reviewers mentioned that the material was too thin. I personally really like the thin, soft material. It is not see through. I’m wearing the size Xs. I’m linking it below and a bunch of other Camo favorites!….

This tank dress has been a favorite since last season.
I’ve worn it so much and I’m sharing it again!
I did size up one size to get a slightly looser fit.

I love the round detail on the top of these shoes!
Also tie a side knot at the bottom of your tank dress.
It adds just a little extra something!

Thank you all for stopping by today!
You can shop this exact dress here and I’ve rounded up some other tank dresses for you below…
xx,

Before I dive into today’s post I just wanted to announce that I signed up for Poshmark! So many of you showed interest in purchasing some of my Stylin pieces and I have to say that made me so happy! To see my poshmark closet and items that are available head to poshmark.com or this link here! If you have any questions about any of the items please ask my anytime!
Thank goodness for Tee shirts!
I wear one almost daily. They are so versatile. But I will admit that not all Tee shirts are created equal. I’m very picky with my Tee’s and I’m listing my criteria on what I look for before I decide to purchase a new one. Because let’s be honest…Tee’s are the perfect wardrobe staple that should be fully stocked. Also sharing my top picks Tee’s that are all under $30…and BTW the tee I have on is on sale for $10!
STYLIN CRITERIA
ONE: Don’t be fooled by the price. Just because a Tee shirt is priced over $100 does not mean it will last any longer. I have purchased some Tee shirts over the years that were under $50 and they have lasted longer than some higher price point Tee’s.
TWO: Softness. I like to feel the Tee shirt before I even decide if I want to try it on. If it is stiff or not soft on the skin…I skip it. This tip is not possible with online shopping…so I will usually purchase a few different options and then decide which one I would like to keep.
THREE: Machine washable. I have bought Tee shirts in the past, worn them and then after find out they are dry clean only. I’m totally fine with dresses, blouses and other tops being dry clean only…but a TEE?? I learned my lesson and now check before purchasing it the Tee is machine washable.

MY SUMMER WORKOUT ROUTINE
Some of you have been asking about what I do for working out. I play tennis once a week (took a couple months off due to broken toe). That is one of my favorite days of the week! I really want to improve my game and would love to add another day in the mix. Both of my kids play….so I’m really excited to get out there more this summer! Back in January I canceled my gym membership (lol…of all the months). The reason was I found myself not taking any classes and only using the elliptical. Jeff and I decided that it would save time and money if we purchased our own elliptical machine…and it has been so nice and convenient to use it at home. I try to go on it 20-30 min 3-4 times a week. It’s really hard for me to stay on there longer than 30 because I get pretty bored…but podcasts have been making the time go by a lot faster! I also want to make it a goal to go on more weekend family hikes…and a quick neighborhood walk after dinners. When I was growing up that was something we did almost every night.
xx
Thanks for reading my blog and I hope you had a great day!

Happy Thursday! I’m beyond excited to share that this cozy lounge set is now 50% off!!! Here are a few things I love about this set! The color. The fit. The lining is a soft light weight fleece like material….soooooo soft. I always get really excited when the lining is more comfy than the outside. The top and bottom are sold separately. You can easily mix and match the top and bottom with other pieces. You can wear this around the house or out in public. I already did!
SIZING: I’m wearing the size SMALL on the top and the size XS on the bottom.
I like my tops to be more oversized so I sized up one.
You can shop the top and bottom here and here….and other lounging favorites below…

Thank you for visiting my blog today!
xx,

This top is one of my favorites! I’ve been really into tie front, knot tops lately. I have this top in a few other colors since it is so versatile. Wear it with slacks and you have a dressy, work outfit. (note: see my tip below about the back). I dressed it down here with cut off denim shorts and flat sandals, added a stack of summery bangles and a textured beaded handbag.
BTW: I’m wearing the size US6 which fits like a size 2-4. Also there has been some confusion on their website with the colors Blush and Beige. I actually ordered both colors and I can not tell a difference. They look almost identical.

STYLE TIP: The back has an open slit…and I’m not a fan of going bra-less. So I safety pinned the back on the inside of the top, right where my bra would show. I like to jimmy-rig my clothing to make it more wearable and with the inexpensive price of a safety pin I scored. You could also sew it up really quick or take it to alterations.

I hope you had a great day! Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog…I appreciate you more than you know! xx

First of all please excuse my crazzzzzy hair. I basically waisted room in my suitcase by bringing my blow dryer and curling iron. I used them zero times. With the humidity in Kauai there was no use in wasting time with hair. This wrap dress kimono is perfect for an upcoming vacay or summer day. I’m really into this style of dress because it is loose, comfortable and sophisticated all in one dress. It does run a little big. I’m wearing the size xs here. You can shop this dress and here and below…

Thanks for stopping by today!! xx

Hi girls! This is probably one of my favorite beauty posts to date! I have to admit that I’m addicted to self tanning. There’s something about having a little color that makes me feel more confident and I love that healthy glow. I also have a little beauty trick that I swear by (sharing that below). Today I’m teaming up with Nordstrom and sharing this glowy summer look. I’ll be sharing which self tanner I’ve been using and some newer products I’ve been rotating into my normal beauty routine that I’ve been loving. So thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy this post!

ST. TROPEZ
As I mentioned above I am no stranger to researching and testing out a bunch of different self tanners. And when it comes to the type of self tanner I end up using on a daily basis I’m very picky! From the smell, to the sticky factor (no thanks), to the color after the immediate color washes off. All the pieces have to fit. Clarins has been my go to for years and years…& is still a favorite. I recently discovered St. Tropez self tan express and so happy I did! It really does live up to the “express”. It’s fast drying and I love the immediate color and also the color that develops. It’s very natural. GAME CHANGER TIP: I recently started applying my facial self tanner with a kabuki brush. Ahhhhmazing. It’s so nice to let the brush do all the blending. I also use any left over tanner that’s on the brush to sweep across the back of my hands. (this is the exact brush I use)

KIEHL’S GLOW FORMULA SKIN HYDRATOR
I love the instant glow your skin gets from applying this product. When I first got it in the mail I tested it out on the back of my left hand and had nothing on the other. After I let it sink in you could very noticeably tell that the left hand looked dewy and moisturized and my right hand looked dull and dry. This light weight formula can be worn 3 ways. Alone on bare skin, under makeup, or (may favorite way) mix it with your daily moisterizer. I take a dab of my moisturizer a pump of the Kiehl’s glow skin hydrator and apply it to my face with a brush. BTW: This brush is a game changer!! I love it so much!

CLINIQUE EVEN BETTER GLOW
This foundation is amazing. I mix it with a dab of my favorite moisturizer and use that same brush to apply. This foundation has spf 15 and the color I’m using is CN 70 Vanilla. This color is a shade or 2 darker than my skin color. I personally do not agree with matching your foundation to your skin tone exactly. A little bump in color works best for me and with this amazing brush you can blend, blend and blend to get a flawless look!

GIORGIO ARMANI A-HIGHLIGHT
I’ve been sweeping this highlighter across my cheekbones after my foundation to add a bit more glow. Once I blend it in I top it off with my favorite bronzer! This one is by NARS and the color is Laguna. I’ve been using this product for over a decade.
CLINIQUE MASCARA PRIMER
This is another “over a decade” favorite! I have eyelash extensions but for most shoots or special occasions I always wear mascara over my lashes. I love how it really opens up my eye and makes them pop. Wether you have extensions or not you will love this primer. I would recommend layering at least a 2-3 coats before you put your mascara on.

GIORGIO ARMANI ECSTASY BALM
I love a neutral, moisturized lip. This one is very sheer and moisturizing. And funny story I actually ended up using it as a base (by accident) to my richer colored lip glosses…and I loved the result! The color I applied on top is by Tom Ford (colorway: Rouge Metal). It goes on very smooth and doesn’t dry out your lips. It also comes in a bunch of other shades!

Kisses for my mini! And she was so excited to finally get her ears pierced this weekend!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! You can shop all these beauty products below…
xx,

P.s. A big thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post! Everything I share, as always, are my own thoughts and opinions.
