Good morning everyone! For those of you that are new to my blog I wanted to say hi and welcome to Stylin by Aylin! I’m so honored and excited to share that I’m taking over the LiketoKnow.it Home instagram account today! With my background in interior design it a dream for me to be able to share my own home. Here’s a little bit about me… I have 2 kids, married to the love of my life, I have a degree in Interior Design, worked for 10 + years in the model home, hospitality & residential industry, I had my own handbag company, left working in the corporate field to work full time as a stay at home mom. I share more about what I went through emotionally on my “MY STORY” page. (You can read that here). Years later I was craving some sort of creative outlet…not knowing what that would be. (I didn’t even know what a fashion blogger was??) But I did know I had a passion for styling and helping others. So a few days later I miraculously found a word that rhymed with my name (Stylin)…bought the domain name Stylin by Aylin, and that was the beginning of this amazing journey to find a little piece of my heart that was missing.

Happy Saturday! We’re currently staying at the Lodge Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA. I’ve been sharing parts of our stay on my insta-stories…and have lots more coming on the blog and ig! If you’re looking for a place to stay in San Diego I highly recommend this hotel. The views are amazing and the hospitality will leave you with the best memories.
How cute are these pom pom slippers. Perfect for Holiday Gifting…& under $22! Mom, Friend, Teacher, Hostess, etc. They also come in a pretty blush color. They are completely lined with a sherpa-ish fluff and have grips on the bottom. They are unbelievably comfy☁️☁️…you’ll know what I mean when u try these on!
PLEASE NOTE: These are one size fits most. I’m a true 7.5 and they fit good. I just noticed after a few days they stretched a little so if you have a smaller sized feet these might be too big??

Black Friday is almost here! And what I’ve been noticing the past couple years is that some of the best deals start days before the actual “BLACK FRIDAY”. And today…Abercrombie is offering 40% their entire store! Did you know that Abercrombie has a kids section? Super cute, comfy clothes. I actually just ordered some christmas gifts for my kids today. …sweatshirts, thermal tops, leggings. Oh they are going to be stoked…lol. Well at least mom will. They seriously grow out of their clothes so fast. Do you ever feel like you’re constantly pulling clothes off your kids hangers and into the donation bin??

Happy Friday friends! I hope you are all having a great week and are ready for the weekend. My mini and I are so excited to bring you today’s blog post! We’re teaming up with Bernardo Fashions to bring you cozy inspired looks that keep you stylish and comfortable…and don’t forget to always bring the “fun” to every situation. I go through days where I feel down or blue and not my usual playful self. After many years of experience…I was finally able to grasp the concept that it’s up to you to bring the joy, happiness, fun….or whatever you may call it. I wish that was something I knew when I was younger. I’m sharing this with my kids now…and although they are so little I think they are understanding the concept. Don’t wait for that “good news”, compliment, opportunity, etc! Always have gratitude, be thankful for what you have. And on those days you feel down it’s up to you to change it. Turn up your favorite Pandora station, call an old friend, take a 10 min walk outside with no phone, and always BE GRATEFUL. You will be amazed at how you can turn your day around.

Happy Thursday! Thanksgiving is one week from today…I’m really looking forward to taking some time off and enjoying family and friends. With sweater weather upon us I wanted to share some of my FAVorite Cable Knits! The one I’m wearing is by dreamers by debut. It’s super soft and I love the distressed detailing. Although my dad doesn’t get it all. He still gives me a hard time EVERY single time he see’s me in my ripped up hole-y jeans…lol. Love you dad!

Hi & happy Tuesday! I have to just say that I freaked out about a min ago. How is it already MID-November and how is Thanksgiving already next week!?? We’re doing something different this year…and I’m so excited to share our experience with you! Details coming next week…
Jeff and I were on a dinner date last week…and we happened to walk by Anthro afterwards. I promised I was going to do a quick lap around the store…until I saw this thing. This cardigan is somethin’ else! I fell in love with it the minute I layed my eyes on it. I did get his 2 thumbs up. He’s super honest and is never afraid to tell me if something looks bad. We have a funny saying or code word …”bad animal fur” if it’s a No No. That’s an inside joke from ages ago…and funny enough I can’t remember what it was from. An ugly, furry toss pillow comes to mind though???.

Happy Monday! This is so not even close to what my Monday’s ever look like…but there’s something so calming in seeing a visual of the idea of “relaxing”. I just shared this on my instagram…and mentioned how these slippers are perfect for keeping your toes warm after your pedi. I usually do my own nails at home so these slippers work out perfect. I used to love going to get my nails done…but lately don’t have the patients to go. So I try my best in avoiding sheet marks and messing them up right after I paint them. When you ask your kids to sit still and smile for the camera….you get a nope, it’s time to get silly. Well that is what I was able to capture. One of our favorite things about weekends…staying in PJs for as long as possible, family games, making pancakes and cuddles on the sofa. I have to admit that sometimes I can’t help but get a little sad when I see how quickly my kids are growing up. But when I start to feel that way I use it as a reminder to be present and really take in their sweet tiny voices.
Today we are teaming up with Nordstrom to share some of our favorite cozy wear…from throws, slippers, to joggers! How cute are these UGG slippers for kids! Here I am wearing joggers, a fuzzy-cozy pull over and these cushy house slippers.After playing games we cozied up on the sofa with throws pillows, popcorn and a good movie. We have some leftover balloons from my daughter’s birthday party that we keep in a big basket. We made up a super fun dare game. The ground is “hot lava” and you MUST keep the balloon off the ground. Who ever drops the balloon has to do the DARE.

Loving this color combo! Distressed black, grey and denim. This jacket is oversized which is a nice twist to the usual shrunk denim jacket look. It has quarter length sleeves too. It’s older from last season…but I linked some similar options for you below. This top is a great deal and is long enough to cover the hiney! Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great weekend. Today we played tourist in San Diego since my aunt is visiting. We took her to La Jolla, burger lounge and spent the afternoon playing boccee ball and exploring the pool tides at the cove. Now we’re back home and the kids are getting their jammies on and we’re about to start our movie night. We’re watching the Adams Family tonight…so random i know/lol.

Happy weekend! Finally. With Halloween this past Tuesday it really threw my days off this week. I’m so excited because my Aunt is visiting from Michigan! She’s staying with my parents but we’re hoping to “get invited” to lots of dinners there. (I obviously loooove to cook…jk). My cousin’s also coming into town this next week for a few days and I get to meet my nephew baby Ashton for the first time! I’ve had crazy baby fever for a while now so I’m excited to get my baby fix with lots of auntie time…just don’t make me change any poops…haha. Styled this comfy, unique cardigan with skinny jeans, ankle boots, a TEE , dainty jewelry and oversized sunnies. I own lots of solids…but I love the pattern on this jacket. The texture is really nice too. You can tell this is a quality piece. It runs true to size.

When I think of Fall makeup I immediately think of rosy cheeks, a refined eye and a statement lip. Unless it’s for a very dressy occasion I like to keep my eye make up fairly minimal while pairing it with a bold lip. And I love this time of year to get a little more experimental with makeup. Especially with holiday parties and events coming up …it’s the perfect occasion to get a little more playful. Today I’m teaming up with Nordstrom and Tom Ford and I’m so excited to share my Fall Makeup look and some new favorite shades!

First I started with a clean face and then applied this illuminating primer. This instantly gave my skin a dewy glow! I also love how it dispenses…you just turn the top of the bottle and the pump pops out. Next I mixed my moisturizer with Tom Fords “traceless” foundation. It has just the right amount of coverage and it also has SPF 15. (This is the applicator I used). After I added under eye concealer, mascara and very thin line of eyeliner. Next I did a quick sweep of Tom Ford’s bronzer. The color I’m wearing here is called Terra 02. I applied this on my cheeks, forehead and at the bridge of my nose. (This is the brush I used) After I finished off the look with a bright-bold lip. This color is from their Ultra-rich lipcolor collection. It is called 16 Gala. To be honest I was a little worried it would be too bright of a color but once I put it on it really gave that Pop…in a good-flattering way! Another thing I really liked about this lipstick (other than the prettiest white packaging) was how long it lasted and I didn’t need to use a lip liner. I’m personally not much of a fan of lip liners anyways…but was even happier that this lipstick didn’t need one.
PRE PARTY
The pre-party started with getting downstairs 10 min ahead of schedule (SHOCKER)…to chill by the fire with a glass of pinot while we wait for our Uber. Heading out soon to meet some friends for dinner….

Hi…I hope you had a great weekend! We’ve had family in town, went downtown to the Ratatouille movie/symphony, ran errands and crammed in a last minute pumpkin patch visit before Halloween! I can’t believe it is on Tuesday!? This cardigan begs for cooler weather with it’s cozy fleece interior. The comfy fleece lining is covering the complete inside of this jacket!! It has pockets too. I styled it here with a dressy blouse, grey skinnies and suede booties. I ordered the XS. The only thing I noticed is that the arms fall a tiny-ity-bit short. I’m thinking if I ordered up one size it would help with that. I will order a S too and let you know if that makes a difference.

Happy weekend! My mother in law just got into town yesterday…and we hosted a super casual dinner tonight with my parents. Pizza. Salad. Wine. One of the best combos. After dinner we somehow ended up in my office and “THE MOMS” (My mom and Jeff’s mom) started trying on, mixing and matching my shoes, accessories etc. WILD Night folks! This is about as crazy as it gets around here lately…lol.
I love the texture on this top! I almost wore this for family photos…but it was sooooooo hot. I ended up wearing a light and airy blouse with jeans and metallic pants with an oversized summery pullover. Can’t wait to share our family pics with you! My friend Marisa took our photo’s and she’s suppppper talented. If you’re in southern California and looking for a photographer look her up! She’s also so fun to work with and super down to earth. Here are 3 things you need to know about this top before you order. 1. I like oversized sweaters so I ordered the XS and the S. Keeping the S for sure. That is the size I am wearing above. My suggestion…order up. And I would also recommend wearing a white tank or white tee underneath. 2. I was surprised that the neck opening was a little small. Not a deal breaker…and once I got it on it didn’t feel tight. But I feel it is important to disclose that so you won’t be surprised when you are putting it on. 3. When you receive this sweater take it out of the packaging outside and shake it good. It will shed as you shake. I did this a few times and noticed it lessened the shedding. I’ve only worn this once since then and will be posting an UPDATE if any of the shedding comes back. But so far shaking it really helped and so far so good. Good morning! I’ve gotten some requests about how to dress up jeans and a Tee…thank you for your suggestions! So I immediately think how I can achieve this comfortably while staying stylish at the same time. Since we’re still in Fall weather (omg we hit over 100 degree’s yesterday in San Diego)…I wanted to share a look that would appeal to almost any climate. obviously the holes in the jeans might be un realistic for extreme cold weather…but throw over a big wool coat and you’ll be toasty warm. The fabric on this jacket is very soft, smooth and feels very similar to suede. Just note that it is on the thinner side. For milder weather it will keep you somewhat warm…but not nearly as warm as a true thick suede jacket. This is a great transition piece once the weather starts to change…and I would recommend layering a cami or tee shirt underneath. This jacket runs True To Size. (FYI: I’m wearing the size S here because the XS was not available at the time). I later received the XS and I liked how the arms were a little more fitted.
