Hi girls! I’m excited to share today’s post with you! I’m teaming up with Walmart to share this natural NYX make up look! This is a brand that I’ve been using for years and years. Just seeing the lip gloss tube in my purse brings back memories of when I first started (or was allowed) to wear make up. I’ll be sharing some original favorites and some new products I’ve been testing out too. I’m a big believer that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get an amazing product. My cosmetic bag is definitely a good mix of lower and higher price point products. All of the products I’m sharing today are from Walmart.com…and are super affordable and Stylin tested and approved!
HONEY DEW ME UP
This is base primer and I use it after my serum, before my moisturizer and foundation. It smells so good! Reminds me of being at the Spa.
NYX MINERAL FINISHING POWDER
I use this product after my foundation is applied. It takes away any unwanted shine and helps set my make up. I have 2 that I use and layer. The Light/Medium for areas I want to highlight. And the Medium/Dark that I use on my forehead, cheeks and chin. I like how the Med/Dark gives me a little more color. You can also apply over your decollete.
NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKE UP BRUSH
This is the number 22 brush. It’s super soft and I use this to apply the mineral finishing powder.
NYX ULITMATE SHADOW PALLETTE
This might be one of my favorites! I love the warm tones and how some of the shadows are matte while others have a really pretty sheen. This is perfect for travel because of all the options you can easily bring with you…all in just one cute compact!
NYX BUTTER GLOSS
This is the gloss I was mentioning earlier in the post that makes me feel nostalgic. This color is super pretty, natural and has a subtle yummy smell. And I don’t think they named it Butter Gloss for nothing.
I’m wearing the color: MADELEINE BLG14.
It also has a creamy, buttery consistency. Lovvvve.

NYX MATTE FINISH SPRAY
I use this Matte Finish spray for the final step. Just spray and you’re all set for the day!

Hi girls! We just got back from the most beautiful vacation to Kauai. I was so grateful to be able to get away with family for some much needed R&R. (Full travel diary coming soon!) One of my favorite pieces I packed for this trip are these comfy and flattering white shorts and this warm but airy, summery knitted pullover from Abercrombie. Even a tropical destination and warmer weather can’t keep me away from my oversized pullovers…lol. These shorts went with almost all the tanks, tee’s and tops I brought. The temps did cool down at night and there always seemed to be a bit of a breeze…so this pullover was perfect to throw over my shorts and even dresses to stay warm.
I also have these shorts in the green color….and they are gorgeous!!!

My favorite detail is the bow tie in the front!
They also run true to size…but if you are in between sizes I would recommend sizing up one size.

I always love pieces that are quality, cute, comfortable on the skin, easy to wear (nothing fussy), and cute looking! I’m so excited to share this look with you today by Everlane! I styled these super comfy Day Glove flats with this easy to wear, adjustable black dress, denim jacket & minimal accessories. I’ve talked about these shoes before and just love the quality and comfort. They literally do fit like a glove…and they run true to size. I ordered a 7.5 (my true size) and they fit perfectly. These shoes are suitable for walking around town and can even get you from point A to B via a bicycle.
This dress is super comfy and light weight.
It has an adjustable drawstring so you can make the waist as tight or loose as you like.

Ever since I was a little girl I would love getting ready with my mom. It’s so nice to have that quality time with eachother…and it doesn’t hurt to have someone help you with the back pieces of your hair! Today we’re so excited to be partnering with Conair to share how we get ready for our Mother’s Day brunch! We styled our hair using 2 different products…The “InfinitiPro 2 in 1 stainless styler” and the “mini-Pro smoothing brush”!

The 2-1 stainless styler can either straighten your hair, or curl it! I used it on my mom to straighten and on my own hair to curl.
For straightening close the tool on the section of hair, glide over the section, then release.
For curling close the tool on the section of hair, wrap hair around the barrel (outer barrel heats up to 265), glide over the section while hair is wrapped, then release.
Style Tip: I always keep 2-3″ out of the bottom to create that more messy beach wavy look.
One thing I always look for when purchasing a hair tool is “how hot can it get”. My curl tends to hold longer when I use a higher heat setting. This tool goes up to 400 degrees with 5 additional lower heat settings.
There are also 2 silicone “cool tips” that are removable. I personally like to keep them on since I like to use that part of the tool while I curl.

I styled them with this super soft white TEE and this even softer blush colored jacket. This is one of my favorite looks because of it’s comfort and color palate. Dresses with pockets always get extra brownie points!! This was one of the most popular swim cover ups from last season….and it’s still going strong this spring/summer. Hi girls…hope you had a great weekend! I just got back from Dallas where I attended the RewardStyle conference. It’s my third year going…and I have to say that each year gets better and better. Unfortunately this year I broke my toe 2 days before the trip and almost canceled. (darn these broken bones hurt more than I thought). With warmer weather finally here…I’m excited to share some vacation inspired looks with you. Last week I teamed up with Bloomingdales and headed to Palm Springs for some R&R. My husband couldn’t take time off work so I was so happy that my mom was able to join the kids and I for a fun stay at the Parker Hotel. We played lots of bocce ball, football toss, hammock swinging, pool time and had lots of lemonade!

Cute bag alert! I love the tassels, the colors, the quality and the price!! This is a perfect beach bag, or summer tote. I used it last week in Palm springs at the Parker Hotel.

These joggers are so comfy and are the perfect shade of light grey. They didn’t come in XS so I ordered the S (wearing the S here). They are a tad big…but with the adjustable draw string waist I was able to cinch them up a little. One thing that made me laugh when I opened this package was the tone on tone stars going down the side of the pants. At first I wasn’t sure about them…but I actually like the little detailing. It’s comfy and cute.

This dress runs a little big. I’m wearing the xs here. If you’re in between sizes I would recommend sizing down. This maxi would be so perfect for vacation, backyard bbq’s (ok maybe a fancy bbq…lol), showers or even lounging around on a warm day. FYI: I was able to wear a regular bra with it. Hi girls…happy weekend! One question I get asked a lot is how I achieve my loose, wavy curls. I’ll be honest, the type of products and tools you use will make all the difference.
Today I’m so excited to be teaming up with Nordstrom Beauty to share my step by step routine and which tools and products I use!
STEP ONE
Shampoo and Conditioner: I love this one! I’ve been using it for the past 10 months and love how soft and silky it makes my hair feel. I do notice a little bit more shine too which is a plus. Beauty TIP: rotate your shampoo and conditioner every few washes to prevent build up. I like to switch them out…but always rotate back in my favorites.
STEP TWO
Serum or Leave in Conditioner: This step is really important because it not only protects your hair from heat and outdoor elements…but it also keeps it moisturized and stronger than if you didn’t use it. I put on serum right out of the shower…then brush.
STEP THREE
Round brush and Blow-dry only the front sections: This step is important to do the first 20 min out of the shower. You don’t want your hair to be too wet or too dry. Use a round brush and tame/smooth out those face framing pieces. I can’t even express how much I regret it when I skip this step. I have naturally curly hair on the bottom and a mix between wavy and straight hair on top. So by taking care and taming the front pieces before they get too dry really helps if I’m going to have a good or bad hair day. After I either air dry the rest of my hair or zap it loosely with the blow dryer. And I just use my fingers to separate the pieces. Not a brush. (fyi: depending on your hair type, this step may not apply to everyone.)
STEP FOUR
Curling iron: I’m obsessed with the T3 iron. (Note: I love the 1.25″ barrel size). I’ve tried many curlers in the past and this one works the best for me. They offer so many options and interchangeable irons. Just fyi…the base is sold separately. (SEE HERE). I’ve tried the wand irons before and I’m not a fan. I know it’s just a matter of getting used too…but I’m usually multi-tasking while curling my hair…so the clamp comes in handy so I can have a free hand. I do have to admit that I sometimes get ancy-or impatient while curling my hair. One thing I do that is soooo random but good for your body are “butt lifts”…lol. I used to take Barre classes all the time, so I have a few butt toning moves engraved in my head. Anyways that is one of the random examples of me multi-tasking.
Take a dry section of hair and make sure the hair is wrapping away from your face. I like to leave 2-3 inches out of the barrel. Then I leave it on for 30 ish seconds…open up the clamp by small pulses…then I pull the barrel downward releasing all the hair out of it. (Note: Keep the ringlets tight)
STEP FIVE
Hair Spray & Dry Shampoo: If I could only use one hair product for the rest of my life it would have to be the dry shampoo from “Living Proof”. I just stocked up on 3 bottles so I don’t run out in the near future. It works similar to magic…absorbs oil like no other and doesn’t leave a residue. It smells really good and just leaves your hair clean, light, fluffy and fresh.
