I girls! For those asking about the dress I wore on last weekends insta-stories (the random hair volume one…lol)…this is it! It’s not fitted…yay. It’s grey, stretchy, comfy, cozy. It looks way shorter on the model online. Also the sleeves look way shorter online…but that might be because the model is around 6′ and also rolled up her sleeve?? It’s under $50 and I’m wearing the size S. It does run big…but I like my dresses oversized. FYI…I’m just shy of 5-7.
You can shop this dress here and the rest of the post below…
.
.
Here I styled this dress more casually. Flat slides, bangle stack on the arm, smaller handbag, round sunnies and a sweater tied around the waist. Also if it gets chilly you can throw the oversized sweater on over the dress!

Here I styled the dress with booties, oversized sunnies, larger bag and pulled one side down to create an off the shoulder look. It’s not really supposed to be worn this way…but I like it.

Thanks for reading my blog today! Hope you have a great one! xx

Hi friends…hope you had a great weekend! I’m finally getting into my 2018 groove. Had a late start and then last week threw out my back. So thankful for the chiropractor. I was feeling 50% better after the 1st appointment and 80% better after the 2nd. I’m going back again later this week…and hoping for even more improvement. I’m so happy!! Today I’m sharing this pullover that is the perfect transitional piece. Wear it now….and in the Spring/Summer. It comes in other color options…linking them below. I’m wearing the size XS but could have also sized up to a S.
Layer your favorite necklaces to add a subtle statement. Here I layered 2 of my favorites. The shorter horn necklace is from Parpala Jewlery (see here for website)…and the longer one is from LoveTatum (see here for website).

Hope you have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!! xxxx

I’m not much of a dress girl. But when I do wear one it will most likely be comfy and loose. Today I’m teaming up with Nordstrom to share some of my favorite dresses that you can wear now. Whether you pair it with tights, leggings or with over the knee boots…I rounded up my favorites. And some of these dresses are also on Sale!
.
.
Here I styled this tie dress with over the knee boots, minimal accessories and a suede bag. The tie on the dress is adjustable so you can wear it low, high, loose or tight. It’s also made out of a really soft jersey material…looooove. I’m wearing the size US4 in the dress and the size XS in the faux-fur jacket. These over the knee boots are from Nordstrom but last season. I linked a similar pair here. See below for more details and my dress round up…

Happy Tuesday friends! Most of my wardrobe consists of greys, whites, and pops of black. Today I’m styling this cozy striped Tee with that exact color palate. Paired it with grey skinny jeans, black stiletto booties and this black sherpa jacket. I know a lot of you asked if I could link this exact jacket even though it’s sold out. Here is the link (click here). It is from the designer Greylin. Also there is a good chance it could get restocked one day? I’ll keep an eye out like I always do. I have your back♥ . In the meantime I found around 4-5 similar options to this black sherpa jacket. BTW> This TEE is awesome! It’s long enough to cover the bum…making it the perfect top over skinny jeans, leggings, etc. It’s also thin enough to tuck in a style as a TEE. I’ve also tied it to the side which I’ll be sharing in a little video coming soon to my ig @stylinbyaylin. You can shop this tee here and a similar one that’s under $20 HERE!

Hope you had a great day and thanks for stopping by!

I’m super guilty of wearing this exact outfit more than twice in the past week. The style of this top is more out-doorsy than what I’m normally used to wearing. So I stylined it up a little with skinny jeans, oversized gold watch, bracelet stack, suede handbag and oversized sunnies. The shoes I’m wearing are one of my favorites…and I’m so excited to share them! They are under $30…so comfy and look expensive! I love them and I’m linking them here for you. This exact top was in stock earlier today in 2 sizes….but I think it’s already sold out. It now comes in a pretty buffalo check pattern. My friend Alice would love it♥. They get restocked often so you can always check back on this link….and see if it shows up available! I’m sharing some other similar favorites below.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you had a good day!

Hi! I’ve missed you all. I took a longer than normal break over the Holiday to spend time with family and friends. I think it’s so important to re-set and renew so you can be the best you, you can be! I was also able to reflect on 2017 and create new goals for 2018. I don’t like to set new years resolutions…but to me goals are more exciting to achieve.
Some of my personal goals for this year are:
Wake up earlier, exercise at least 4 days a week, play more tennis, I wouldn’t say work less…but I would like to say “work – smarter”, be better at scheduling my day, take my multi-vitamins everyday, drink more water, take my kids ice-skating, to Disneyland, Hawaii and indoor skydiving, plan more trips and get-togethers with friends, call my family more often, and to really enjoy the little things in life.
p.s. This cardigan is from last season but I found it restocked in a pretty off white colorway…and also a dark navy which looks almost identical to the color I’m wearing above. I sized up… one to a Small. You can shop this cardigan here and the rest of my look below.

I can’t tell you how many times eBay has saved the day! There have been so many times that I either run out…or I’m super low on my “must have” beauty products. Only to find that where I usually purchase them are out of stock…or even worse: DISCONTINUED!. Nooooooo. I usually panic for a quick second and then I find relief in knowing that eBay is there for me. I quickly get on their site, type in as much information about the products I’m wanting to purchase. And yay…I find it listed anywhere from 1 t0 100’s of sellers.
Did you know that 81% of all the merchandise sold on eBay is new?! And most of those items have my favorite option…which is called “Buy it Now”. Because in reality I really do want to buy that item now. I’ve also found that almost all the items I’m adding to my cart are offering Free Shipping. I love that option!
.
.

This bubble bath is AH-mazing! You will want to stay in the bath for hours. I also recommend using this shower oil…it keeps your skin moisturized and smooth. I first was introduced to these products at the RewardStyle conference. After I ran out I ordered them on eBay with Free Shipping and saved money on the products too!

This self tanner is my all time favorite!!! And when I say eBay saved the day…it’s no joke! I always feel better with a little color and since I never really lay out anymore self tanners have been my go to. Well this little bottle gives me a hard time sometimes…because it’s notorious for selling out! It even was discontinued at one point (you’ll have to ask me about what the funny story is one day…lol). Anyways eBay totally saved the day by having multiple sellers offering this bottle. Brand New! And most did have Free shipping too. Yay!!

These are some of my favorite hair care products I use for styling. And also don’t forget to search for hair tools too. I was able to find this CHI blow dryer on their site for $20 less than retail.

I’m also linking this plush robe and slippers (similar) below. I love wearing a robe out of the shower to allow the moisturizers to soak in. Plus it takes me a while to figure out what I’m actually going to wear that day. Shoe cobbler with no shoes…yup that’s me.
.
.
Hope you have a wonderful day and don’t forget to check out eBay to help you save the day! xx

Holiday parties and NYE parties are upon us! Today Jeff and I are partnering with Nordstrom to share some Holiday inspired NYE looks for “him”. One of my favorite colors to dress up is “white”… so we both went with a white color scheme. Jeff added dark denim and brown leather accents. For dressier occasions I think very dark denim on men is appropriate. Just make sure that there is no distressing. No holes, shreds, color variance, etc. We styled his look with one of our favorite “Hugo Boss” dress shirts. He’s gotten so much use out of this shirt. From work to parties or even attending our kids piano recitals this piece is so versatile. You can wear it more formal with the sleeves down. Or you can wear it more casual by folding up the cuffs. The brown leather belt and shoes add just the right amount of dressy-casual to pull together Jeff’s look.

Jeff and I wish you the happiest holiday and good health and happiness in 2018!

Every Christmas morning it’s our tradition to host my family. We make a big breakfast, open gifts, eat some more, and blast christmas music. One of my favorite parts is to see the look on my kids faces when they can see that Santa had stopped by. Christmas morning always goes by so quickly but we try to slow down time. Opening our gifts one by one has definitely helped…lol. I’m heading to our local flower mart to start our holiday prep. I made the mistake once before to come under-dressed with flip flops…brrrrrrrrr. So today I’m teaming up with Nordstrom, prepared, and in the coziest layers. I just love these statement sleeves. I layered a long sleeve white thermal underneath and added a third layer with this cozy scarf. To balance out the volume of the cardigan I wore skinny jeans and added ankle booties for a little extra height. This cardigan is true to size, currently available in all sizes and also comes in black. You can shop it here and the rest of my look below….

How cute is my mama ♥♥

Mission accomplished!
I went with a neutral flower color pallet.
Whites, gray-green and blush.

Good morning! I just found some great holiday gift ideas for you that are all 50% off. This fleece cardigan runs true to size, is so soft, and comes in a few other colors. It’s a great functional piece…and by functional I mean you can wear it out in public…or cozy at home over your pjs. I bought it online at abercrombie and today is the last day you can get it for 50% off…see all the details on how to apply the discount here.

This coat!! I’ve been wearing it so much lately. Even over my christmas pj’s…if you saw my insta-story from last week. I’m wearing the xs here. The color way is called: IVORY. I styled it here over distressed black jeans, oversized sunnies and these suuuuper comfy slippers. Girls…I had some people fooled that they were the $1,000 Designer pair. But not these. They are only $24.99! I think they are meant to be house slippers…so for that price I bought another pair to wear only inside…and the other to wear out in public. I loooove them! You can shop them here and I’ll link them below too.
.
NOTE: The reviews on the shoes say to order up 1/2 a size. Since I wanted 2 pairs anyways I bought my true size (7 1/2) and 1/2 size up (the 8). The 7.5 was a little snug at first but after wearing it for 2 days it stretched out a little and is the pair I prefer to reach for.

When comfy meets quality meets style = EVERLANE ! I’m very excited to share this amazing brand with you all! They have the perfect mix of work wear, casual wear and everything in between. Perfect for holiday gifting…and don’t forget to pick up a little something special for yourself too! Today I’ll be styling 2 different looks. One is more geared towards work “Weekday Style”…and the other is more comfy-casual “Weekend Style”. I’ll be sharing all the pieces I’m wearing and how you can achieve the same look.

This gorgeous, oversized cocoon coat is different than any other coat I own. I love that it’s structured yet playful at the same time. It’s oversized (I’m wearing the size 0 here). This is the light heather grey color way…and it also comes in camel and black. This coat is perfect for work, holiday parties, out to a dinner date or drinks with the girls. I styled it here with white skinny jeans, suede camel kitten heel pumps, cozy scarf and my favorite…these fingerless cashmere gloves! How cute are they?! I will be wearing them a lot this winter. They are so practical too, easy to hold things, drive, use your phone, etc.

The kids got to spend the morning at Grandma and Grandpa’s so my hubby and I had a morning date to get coffee and check out the local farmers market and get some christmas shopping checked off our list! We ended up buying fresh berries, coffee and couldn’t resist these gorgeous roses. After the Farmers Market we rushed home to get them in water and enjoyed a quick second cup of coffee before we headed back out to tackle to crowds for more christmas shopping. This lounge set is so comfy and feels super luxurious to wear. I’m sure the fact that it’s cashmere has something to do with it too. I paired this duo with leather slides, oversized tote, beanie and a scarf. I’m wearing my true size for the bottoms but ordered one size up on the top. (wearing xs joggers, and S sweater). The shoes I’m wearing are a very pretty off white color. They run true to size and only took one wear to break them in. I also can’t wait to carry them into Spring/Summer. You can shop the shoes here and below….

Happy weekend friends! We’re officially in December territory and the holidays are upon us. I don’t know about you but I always tend to take on too much this time of year and always get overwhelmed. I always tell myself to chill out…but NOPE. I just can’t. Someone help me…lol. One thing that has helped a little is…waking up 10 minutes earlier to do some stretching and writing in my gratitude journal. This is before I check my phone or do anything else. I’m linking this amazingly soft sweater here and some other favorites below. Seriously this thing is soooo soft and fuzzy. True story. When this came in the mail my kids were making fun of it like it was a blankie. Well…I was tucking my son into bed last week and I found him asleep, snuggled up in bed, holding this sweater. lol…but so cute.

Hope you have a great day!

What do you do when you find a library book you thought you had lost??? Pray for NO late fee’s, throw on your coziest layers and head to the library. Today the kittens and I are teaming up with Abercrombie to share our favorite neutral layers!
I went Layers on Layers for my look. Base layer is a light weight knit, 2nd layer is their faux sherpa cardigan and the third layer is this gorgeous coat! (Wearing the size XS coat here). All these pieces are in the grey tones. Dressing monochromatic is one of my favorites!

Let’s talk about how cute Abercrombie’s kids line is!!
Quality: Check! Comfort: Check! Affordability: Check! Cute Selection: Check!
I styled my kids in neutral layers and made sure each piece had contrasting textures. Every piece is lined and very comfortable…so my kids tell me.

Ok! Everyone gets a turn…lol

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great day. Today’s post is all about this gorgeous statement jacket. With the holidays here I thought this could possibly be a good option for one of your occasions. I dressed up this look with high metallic heels, fitted pants, statement earrings and this comfy flutter sleeve jacket. It has some weight to it so you can feel the quality…and it will also keep you nice and warm. This would also be cute to throw over a dress, slacks and a cami, or even just jeans and a TEE. A childhood memory that always sticks out to me is looking through my moms jewelry box. I remember being so excited, like I had just found a treasure chest. My mom would tell me (and still does) that one day she will hand me down some of her most special pieces. These memories warm my heart because I am now catching myself telling my daughter the exact same thing. Jewelry is so much more than just accessorizing your outfit. Do you ever find jewelry that you hadn’t seen in years? It brings back memories, can create new memories and can be handed down generation to generation. Today I am so honored to be teaming up with David Yurman to share my favorite new pieces, how I love layering, styling 2 different looks, and sharing some of our family traditions.
.
Whether I’m pulling together and outfit, accessorizing with jewelry or styling my home… Layering, Quality & Comfort are key! David Yurman’s collections are not only absolutely stunning, but so easy to wear. They’re the type of pieces you can mix & match from one collection to another. This allows you to create your very own “one of a kind” style. These pieces would also make the perfect gift! Holidays, birthdays, push-present, anniversary, wedding gift, graduation, Valentines day…the occasions are endless. You can see their Holiday Gift guide for HER (here) and their Holiday Gift guide for HIM (here)
.
My mom and I always have so much fun getting ready together. It’s always nice to have that extra hand with hair, makeup, a hard to reach button…and an excuse to sip a little champagne! We are just about to head out to celebrate her birthday. Another one of our traditions is to trade jewelry with each other. I’ll be honest…there are some pieces she lets me borrow that are really hard to give back…lol. And I have to say that she has the most amazing David Yurman collection! We love the idea of enjoying things that bring us joy now. The same goes for a special pair of shoes, dress or even a nice handbag. Don’t save things for only special occasions. Make as many special occasions as you can! Even if it’s a quick trip to the grocery store.
.
All the pieces I’m wearing are from their Gold Gift Shop (see the collection here). Also linking the exact ones I’m wearing below…
.
.

I always stay true to my style by incorporating comfort without compromising style. One of my favorite things about wearing David Yurman pieces is the comfort. Once you put on your jewelry is should be effortless…almost like you forget you even have anything on. This look I styled below is my go-to lounge around the house style. Again I layered these pieces to give a more dimensional look.

Thank you so much for visiting today!

This year we decided to do Thanksgiving different. We avoided cooking, dirty dishes, laundry etc…and booked a weekend stay at the GORGEOUS Lodge Torrey Pines. The photo you see above if from our rooms balcony. We literally had a hard time leaving our room because there was so much beauty to admire. Our room had french doors that swung all the way open and back so you had this amazing picture frame view. I’m sharing lots more below…but wanted to share our favorite highlights first.
We had dinner at “The Grill” the first night and “A.R. Valentien” the second. Both had amazing service and delicious food. The Grill is their more casual dining option. It’s located right next to the golf course. I highly recommend sitting outside! We had a party of 6 and sat at one of their large round tables with front row views of the sun setting onto the pacific ocean. A.R. Valentien is their more formal restaurant. It is located right off of the lobby in the lodge. We sat outside on their deck overlooking the pool area. Both dining options are kid friendly and have a great selection too. You can see more details about these two restaurants here.
.
.
If you are a golfer…this will be your dream location. But there is so much more to do than golf. There is a full spa, pool, jacuzzi, etc. Also there is a state park very close by that you have to visit. It’s called Torrey Pines State Beach. You can either park at the bottom and hike up…or we like to park at the top and hike to see the amazing views. Hopefully you catch the hike on a clear day…you will love it! Downtown La Jolla is also very close by. I would head out to Prospect Ave to see all the shops, restaurants, art galleries and more. And on your way into town you can stop by the “Gliderport“. This is such a unique place to visit. You are literally on the edge of a cliff (but it feels very safe)…and you can watch the para-gliders take off.
.
.
I don’t know about you…but I’m super picky when it comes to the comfort of my bed and which pillows I use. (maybe that’s why my neck hurts all the time…lol). Anyways their beds at the lodge are amazing. Not too soft, not too firm…just right. And let me tell you about their pillows. I almost wanted to ask the front desk if I could take it home with me…but instead asked her to email me what the specs are. And guess what she did! I’ll be purchasing them soon and can’t wait to have my very own “Lodge Torrey Pines” pillow comfort at home!
.

I had NO idea I was taking a picture in front of this amazing fireplace that was cooking all of the chicken for the hotels restaurants. I thought this was just a really fancy fireplace. Boy was I wrong. See below for all the pics of this cook in action.

For dinner we ate at the Lodge’s Grill. The food was delicious and the views were incredible. Just look at that sunset!

After dinner we enjoyed a stroll on their grounds and chilled at one of their many fire pits. Kids wanted me to google if this hotel was haunted. They are so fascinated by anything that has to do with ghosts these days. I tried to explain to them that haunted building are usually very old. Although we didn’t find any haunted tales or any ghosts to be seen…we did find out the history of the Lodge. The original property was built as a 74 room inn in 1961. In 1995 it was purchased by the Evans Family. In 2000 the hotel was closed down, most of it was demolished and the property was completely redeveloped. In 2002 the Lodge reopened with an early California craftsman style…and it is now a 170 room luxury hotel. And definitely one of my favorite places to stay!

Then we decided to head back to the room and found the most delicious surprise of fresh fruit, cookies and milk. The rooms are also stocked with complimentary coffee, water, tea’s and hot chocolate.

This is where a kid can be a kid. It’ nice to getaway from not only all the chores and to-do’s…but also from technology. The kids enjoyed some old fashion croquet, running in the grass, lots of pool time, best burgers in town and even an impromptu tag football with mom and dad. We played girls vs boys…and I have to say that the girls crushed ’em. Yup.

My favorite seat in the house is right here. (see below pic). With the friendliest pool side service it was hard to not order another glass of wine just in time to catch the sun setting into the pacific ocean. We had so many great memories of our stay and this moment here is one of my favorites.

Last but not least I had to share this charming detail. All the rooms have actual fallen pine cones from the Torrey Pines grounds. Each one has a “do not disturb” sign attached. I love this little detail of a friendly reminder that it’s quiet time.
Fun Fact: Did you know that mostly Male Pinecones fall to the floor. The Female Pinecones only fall off the tree every 7 years. (So a man in the lobby told me)

P.S. We were honestly very sad on our last day. We had such a great time that it was hard to leave. So to make the departure a little easier we searched for our own Pinecones on the grounds. Found 2 large ones …and now they are on top of our fireplace mantle so we can always remember the Lodge Torrey Pines.

If you are ever in the San Diego area I highly recommend staying at The Lodge Torrey Pines! …or even stopping by for drinks, happy hour or dinner. Also don’t forget that they have a full service SPA…so you could do your own staycation, girls trip, mini- getaway, etc.
Thank you so much for reading and hope you have a great day!
xx,
.

P.S. A big thank you to The Lodge Torrey Pines for helping us make memories we will never forget!
